Benedictine is a herbal liqueur produced in France. Flavoured with twenty-seven flowers, berries, herbs, roots, and spices, it was developed by wine merchant Alexandre Le Grand in the 19th century. D.O.M. stands for Deo Optimo Maximo which means to God most good, most great. Close to its 500th birthday and origionally produced at the Benedictine Monastery at Fecamp on the coast of Normandy, France since 1510.
